Change Team:
On to Hanover...
by posted 01/28/2023

We didn't put forth our best effort this afternoon in Randolph.  Braintree is a very good team that is well coached and in order for us to play them comeptitively for all three periods we knew we needed everyone firing on all cylinders.  Mentally and emotionally it just wasn't there today for us.  We have been beaten this season - but today was the first time we got beat up.  I handed Thomas a shovel and the game puck and he is burying it in our backyard as I type.

It is not what happens in life and everything about how we chose to respond to what has happened.  Tommorrow morning we get a chance to get right back @ against a good Hanover team which we have played super tight the last two times we played them.  We tied them - and squandered a two goal lead with under 5 mins to go to lose by one.  We can't change the outcome of the game today, and we will look to get back on track tomorrow morning @ 8:30 AM in Bridgewater.

One player who was mentally and emotionally ready to play was Collette Gorham.  The referee grabbed me after the game and complimented Collette on her overall game.  Collette played with a level of tenacity and confidence that was admirable on multiple levels.  Even when we were down big she never wavered, never backed down, and played with a keen sense of resolve on every single shift.  We appreciate and respect your effort to always do your best Collette.  Your compete level and passion for the game never goes unnoticed.  You are a hockey player in every sense of the word!!!
